Your 1st Birthday

Well what a year, it's gone so quick, you've grown up and become a real character. You make everyone laugh so much and you are a joy to be with.
Nan and granddad came down to stay over and we all had a meal with Chris and nana Sheena (the drunken bus stop one) You were tired after a busy day so went to bed.
Your grandad phoned from Spain to wish you happy birthday and to say he's been enjoying reading your blog and travels.
You had lots of nice presents including clothes, play tunnels, rocking horse, books, games and loved them all. You also had two safety jackets???? Not sure what they are telling us but must think we are going to have you doing all sorts?
I've put some pictures of the day and will do more tomorrow.
It's your first session at nursery tomorrow so I will also blog about that too.
Sleep well gorgeous, love you lots and lots and forever and ever, mom and dad. Xxx

Euro Trip - Our Route

So we finally finished, did a total of 2,556.8 miles and travelled through France, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland and finally back to England.
We had a great time and you were very good and enjoyed yourself, not bad as a route for your first summer holiday.
Picture is of all the places where we took out pictures and shows you the route.
Love you, mum and dad xxx

Euro Trip - The Storm

On the way to Stuttgart we went through a bad rain storm followed by a fantastic sunset.
It ended up being a late night but you were in good form and decided you wanted to drive, lol.
Also, when the main road was closed we were diverted and ended up on our own through a windy country lane. You mum kept saying were either going to get eaten by bears or attacked by a German cannibal, silly mummy. Xxx

Euro Trip - The final leg

We left at 6:30am and finally got home at 8:00pm, we drove just over 700 miles on the last day. Journey was uneventful and I even took the micky out of your mums pictures. Which is why I took a picture of the back of a car with bikes because I said it was more interesting, lol.

Euro Trip - The Long Journey Home

We finally left Torbole around 11:30 Saturday morning. We had planned to drive to xxxx and stay overnight and then finish the journey early Sunday afternoon.
However, the journey, although beautiful through Austria took forever and we hit traffic jam after traffic jam along with bad weather (rain and lightening storm as we have never seen) and eventually road closures. So after 12 hours of driving we only did 350 miles, we decided to stop off at Munich, had a stroll around for a few hours and eventually stayed overnight in Stuttgart.

Euro Trip - A long day

We all had a busy day today, I've been up, down and walked (carried technically) across the top of a mountain and been out for a stroll (pushed in pram) as well as a paddle in the lake with mom and dad.
Now I'm in bed, with Ted the bear and very tired after my milk.
Night everyone, Izzy xxx

Euro Trip - Last stroll along the lake

After being up the mountain we went on our our last stroll down to the lake, had a paddle and just walked around relaxing. Had a really nice holiday and did lots of fun things. Especially nice with them all being the first we have done with gorgeous Izzy, we have travelled along way, seen some great places and all through it Izzy has been wonderful, gorgeous, funny and very happy.
Your one next week and already growing up fast, we have seen you do lots of fun things and already start to become your own person, that big smile always makes people smile back at you and for a moment they just stare, from the waiters, to passers by in the street, to people on the next table while we're eating. A special little girl, thanks for a great holiday we will never forget it.
Love you always and forever.

Euro Trip - Mummy did it again....

It has become custom during these blogs for me and your mum (more so me) to have a little light hearted fun at each others expense, well here's another one.
Whilst up Mount Baldo I carried you around in your rucksack and it was surprisingly comfortable and light. After we had walked around for a few hours and you fell asleep we decided to stop for lunch at the cafe.
You woke up and as we were deciding to come down I carried Izzy and your mum put the rucksack on. We had walked for a few minutes when your mum said "this is very comfortable and light isn't it,"
My response was "of course it bloody well is, I'm carrying Izzy and laughed"
At this point I took the attached picture and your mum, laughing, told me to f@&k right off...... Naughty mummy but we do love her. Xxx
PS when I was writing this Izzy heard mummy swearing and was so shocked she could mot contain herself.

Euro Trip - hand gliders

While up Mount Baldo we saw some hand gliders, the views were great and dad (lol) got some great pictures.

Euro Trip - Mount Baldo

Decided to up the mountain today, about 5,500 ft. Went up the rotating cable car which was fun and we used your rucksack baby carrier which you loved.
You fell asleep as we walked along the top. The views were wonderful and there were hand gliders jumping off the top.
A tired baby Izzy at the end after a long hot day.
